How-to guides
Review and commit what the agent changed
See the files the agent edited, read their diffs, and commit the ones you want to keep, without leaving the session.
Before you start
You need a workspace that is a Git repository and a session where the agent edited some files. Haven't added your project yet? Add a local project first.
See what changed
- Open the right dock and click the Changes tab. It lists every changed file with its added and removed lines.
- Click a file to preview it with the changes marked inline. Edit opens it in the editor if you want to fix something by hand.
- Close the preview with Esc.
Changes follows the session you're working in. If that session runs in its own worktree, you see that worktree's files, not the main checkout's. The folder menu at the top of the panel switches to another checkout.
Commit
- Click Commit…. Each file gets a checkbox; tick the ones to commit, or tick the box at the top to select all. Filter files… narrows a long list.
- Write a commit message.
- Click Commit. A notice shows the new commit's hash.
Run commit hooks is on by default; untick it to skip your repository's hooks for this commit. The menu next to Commit also has Commit & push and Commit & force push once the repository has a remote.
Check the history
The Branches tab shows the current branch with its commits, newest first, plus Pull and Push…. You can also create and switch branches there.
Pushing to GitHub or Azure DevOps? You can open and review the pull request in Prokop too. For more detail, see Files, Git, and pull requests.
