Add a local project to Prokop

Open an existing project as a workspace, browse its files, and open a terminal in its directory.

19-second silent walkthrough. Written steps below.

Before you start

Have Prokop running and a project folder available on the machine running your Prokop server. Need to install it? Follow Get started first.

Prokop creates a virtual workspace on first launch, so you can start immediately. It lives in a UUID-named directory under ~/.prokopai/workspaces. Adding a local project is optional: use the steps below when you want to work with an existing project folder.

Open your project

  1. Open the workspace selector.
  2. Choose Add existing folder.
  3. Navigate to your project's folder using its path.
  4. Click Add selected folder.

Your project is ready

That's it. The video finishes by showing the project's files in the files panel and its directory in the terminal. These demonstrate the workspace, not additional setup steps.

Next, connect a provider and choose a default model, or read more about workspaces and sessions.
