How-to guides
Work across projects in Overview
Group workspaces, open sessions from different projects, and keep files and terminals in context as you switch.
Create an overview group
Have the workspaces you want to use already available in Prokop. If needed, add your project folders first.
- In Overview, open the group selector and choose Create group.
- Enter a Group name and select the workspaces you want to include.
- Click Create.
A group brings selected workspaces into one overview. It does not merge their files or conversations.
Open a session from each workspace
- Create or open a session under the first workspace.
- Hold Cmd on macOS or Ctrl on Windows and Linux while clicking the second workspace's New Chat icon to create another session alongside it.
- Choose Tabs in the layout controls to switch between the sessions one at a time.
For an existing session, use the same modifier-click or its three-dot menu → Open alongside. Overview supports the same grid and tabs layouts, with up to six open sessions.
Your panels follow the selected session
In Overview, selecting a session also selects its workspace for the shared file and terminal panels. Switch from a session in project A to one in project B, and the panels show project B's files and terminals.
These remain separate workspace terminals, not one shell whose directory changes every time you switch tabs. The file explorer follows the selected session's root by default; a manually pinned file root can override that selection.
Next, explore multiple-session controls or read about workspaces and sessions.
